Agriculture Production Program

The Agriculture Production program aims to promote and enhance agricultural production and food security by improving the diversity and suitability of crop varieties produced locally. Furthermore, the program strives to enhance the CNMI’s livestock production capacity and quality by demonstrating and evaluating improved management systems. Our program’s goals are:

  • Improve and increase agricultural production efficiency
  • Introduce and enhance pest control methods for agricultural pests
  • Promote sustainable agricultural systems in the CNMI
  • Improve and expand agricultural production and crop diversity in the CNMI, to decrease imported food commodities
