Marianas High School student Sylvia Sanchez has been selected to serve on the Youth Leadership Team or YLT of the 2025 National 4-H Conference in Arlington, Virginia.
Her selection follows a highly competitive process, making her one of just six high school students chosen nationwide for this prestigious position. As a YLT member, Sanchez will foster community among attendees through rigorous planning and activities, amplifying youth voices, and advocating for youth-driven initiatives within 4-H. Her extensive 4-H experience includes serving as the 4-H Saipan Island Council secretary, overall lead camp counselor at Camp Maga’lahi in 2023, and 4-H Marianas Planning Committee member in 2022. Sanchez was also a scholarship recipient at the 2023 National 4-H Conference, representing the CNMI as a youth delegate.
