(NMC) — The Northern Marianas College’s Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services was recently awarded $620,000 as part of a $10 million grant from the United States Department of Agriculture to study simulations to identify and test drivers of resiliency in food supply chains for decreasing food waste and increasing food and nutrition security, healthful diets and health among children.

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios have proclaimed Oct. 3 to 9, 2021, as National 4-H Week during a proclamation signing at the Northern Marianas College last Monday. Throughout the week, 4-H will highlight the hard work of the organization’s many youth members in the CNMI and recognize their dedication to making a positive impact on those around them.

Photo Release: 4-H Marianas, in collaboration with  Northern Marianas College-Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services, recently held Camp Maga'lahi on Tinian. The camp, which consisted of more than 40 participants, strengthened the campers leadership and citizen skills. Currently, NMC-CREES and 4-H Marianas are hosting the camp on Rota.

(NMC) — Northern Marianas College-Cooperative Research, Extension and Education Services’  My Preparedness Initiative or MyPI, in partnership with Homeland Security Emergency Management, the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the Public School System, and the Division of Youth Services, has produced many CNMI teenagers who are able to help their fellow community members in the event of any disaster or emergency.
