(NMC) — Strengthening community resilience, the recently concluded Disaster Response Advanced First Aid or DRAFA basic disaster training initiative has left a profound and lasting impact across the Commonwealth, bolstering community resilience in the face of anticipated increasing intensity and frequency of natural disasters.

GOVERNOR Arnold I. Palacios, accompanied by stakeholders from Northern Marianas College and other CNMI government officials at the NMC Agriculture Research Station, launched the Green Growth Initiative on Friday, Jan. 26.

NMC-CREES secures $3.4 million for food science research

Residents of the Commonwealth looking to pursue higher educational opportunities in the fields of food, agriculture, natural resources, and human sciences may be able to do so at little to no cost as part of the newest scholarship program hosted by Northern Marianas College’s Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services (NMC-CREES).
